the SuperCat 20, that is almost 20 years before the rest of the sailing
community even started considering the technology! While tubular battens are
now the latest "Rage" in batten technology, most sail lofts and batten
suppliers are just learning the secrets to great batten performance. Over
the last 25 years Aquarius Sail has developed the ability to match batten
compression and camber to the sail design, producing the best lightweight,
high performance batten available on the market today. Tubular battens can
save upwards of 50% in weight while maintaining optimal sail shape over
traditional tapered fiberglass battens.
